The USHL is extremely selective. An invite to camp is not the same as a roster spot, so ask exactly where the player stands. The draft, tenders, school, billet family, and likely place in the lineup all need clear answers.

• Players already competing at or near top junior pace.
• Families prepared for a serious junior lifestyle conversation.
• Players with strong college hockey goals and clear readiness signals.

• USHL draft or tender process.
• Team main camp or futures camp.
• Identification through elite youth, prep, academy, or junior performance.

• Is there a real roster path or only a camp look?
• How does the team handle school and billet support?
• What player type does the team need?
• What happens if the player is affiliated but not rostered?

• Billet and living logistics, school plan, travel home, equipment, and NCAA eligibility considerations.
• Camp fees and whether the camp is evaluation, exposure, or building team depth.
• Timing around drafts, tenders, affiliates, and protected lists.
